Grade
WCI HDPE 3840
WCI HDPE Rotational Molding Grades are designed for large, hollow, and seamless parts requiring impact resistance, chemical stability, and durability. The grades provide uniform wall thickness, smooth surfaces, and long-term performance, even in outdoor and heavy-duty applications.
HDPE Rotational Molding Grades designed for rotational molding (rotomolding) are engineered to perform optimally under "low shear" conditions—unlike those used in injection molding or extrusion processes. These materials feature an optimized molecular weight distribution (MWD) and a controlled melt flow index (MFI).
They are usually supplied as powders with controlled particle sizes (300–500 microns).
It has a low MFI (2 to 8 g/10min) due to its higher mechanical strength.
Excellent resistance to impact, environmental stress cracking (ESCR) and internal pressure (for water and chemical tanks)
| Grade | MFI (g/10min) | Density (g/cm³) | Key Features | Typical Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WCI HDPE 3840 | 4.0 | 0.939 | High impact strength, excellent ESCR, stable shrinkage, easy processing | Water & chemical tanks, industrial bins, playground equipment, agricultural containers |
